Decimate C, has conducted many activities for the society in general and will continue doing the same. Free cancer detection camps in multiple cities including tier three cities like Solapur, Pandharpur etc, free breast cancer detection camps for women serving in Police force and female prisoners from Yerawada jail, Pune are a few to name. Awareness rallies for early cancer detection were organized which included participation of students from medical colleges. The message was made clear with road shows and loud and attentive with flash dance from Zumba groups.
Decimate C also conducted tree plantation activities in Pune and around which included participation from cancer survivors. To emphasis fitness and healthy life style, Decimate C had organized National level Tennis tournament. Decimate C has successfully organized many national and international level conferences. Best of ASCO in July 2011 held in Pune is one of the bench marks of fruitful academic activity. Many CMEs on early and metastatic breast cancer, current updates in cancer treatments and newer tools in cancer treatment are conducted partnering with IMA-Pune, Ahmednagar, Kolhapur and Solapur. Conference held in March 2012 in Pune with Breast cancer Foundation India is another example of successful conduct of an academic assembly along with musical program presented by doctors for patients and their caregivers. A group of music lover medical professionals performed in an orchestra with melodious songs.
For a better exchange of thoughts and knowledge, Decimate C is continuously arranging brainstorming assemblies with different Super-specialties like, Oncopathology, Urology, and Orthopedics etc. June 2013, Decimate C conducted Uroonco meet and in Aug 2013, oncopathology meet was held. ESMO conference held in Oct 2013 is another effective example of revealing new researches in oncology .Many national and international speakers were invited to address general practitioners and superspeciality consultants for advances in oncology knowledge. MENTCON 2013 was co-organized by Decimate C in the campus of Armed Forces Medical College Pune. Supported Best of ASCO 2015 held in Hyderabad and MOSCON 2016 held in Pune. Focusing on awareness, Decimate C is involved in a series of screeening camps and awareness talks. 4th February 2018, World Cancer Day was marked with release of the book Cancer Kitchen, a recipe book for cancer patients during chemotherapy for diets. 8th March 2018 was celebrated at Maharshi Karve Stri Sikhan Sansthan with a interactive discussion, Meet the Achievers. Future plans in this Noble activity include educating and empowering people in general for early detection of cancer and improving access to treatment.
